About this app

Aide is a menu bar app that stays grey while your Mac is within the CPU and memory limits you set. When the load crosses a limit, the indicator turns orange, then red, and a click opens a short list of only the apps behind it, with Pause, Resume, Restart and Kill one click away. A pause is reversible. Starts at login, reads process load on this Mac only, no account.

Free 3-day trial, then a $3.99 one-time license. Requires macOS 13 Ventura or later; direct download from the website.
